An Interview with Abdul Wali CEO OnlineUstaad famous Pakistani Blogger
What are your strengths?
My strength is my freedom which allows me to think freely and do whatever I want online. I’m not bound to studies, etc and was never bound. I’m free since 2009 when I first started blogging.
I’ve been through very though times online time to time, but my strength has always been the freedom in life, through which I can easily manage things online when I’m in troubles.
What are your weaknesses?
My weakness is that I can’t clean my workplace or my room. It always remains dirty and full of empty boxes, bottles and many other things. I eat and drink every day in order to do something new online.
However, my weakness in blogging etc is that I can’t prepare for something. I do always whatever comes in my mind and then I go out to chill 🙂
What is your dream job?
My dream job is to become the CEO of Google 🙂
Can you tell me something about your yourself and success?
My name is Abdul Wali and I was born in the tribal areas of Pakistan formerly called “FATA“. Currently, I’m 27 years old and I’ve been online since 2009.
I first started niche blogging 2009 then I moved to video based blogging. Meanwhile, I started working for clients and many other things online altogether.
I’ve thousands of subscribers, readers and fans. I’m earning a living from internet since 2010. My first achievement was onlineustaad.com (A video based blog for Urdu/Hindi users).
How you first got involved with blogging?
To be honest, I started blogging only for make money and later on I learned it completely. So now it’s all my passion. When I was doing it for the money I was not successful and when I did it with passion, it became successful and money followed me 🙂
What’s your strategy with your blog in general?
My strategy for my blog is to just write something useful for the readers and engage with them all the time. I always try to write unique content for proper on-Page SEO components. After that, I share it with my social followers which are more than 50K in numbers.
What are your favorite blogs and why?
My favorite blogs are backlinko.com, quicksprout.com, shoutmeloud.com and moz.com. These are for SEO because these blogs provide in-depth knowledge about SEO. So sometimes I visit them to get the latest updates.
In the past, mybloggertricks.com used to be my favorite when I was on blogger but since I moved to WordPress in 2013. After that, I’m no more interested in Blogger related blogs.
Name some of the bloggers whom you look up to and why?
M Mustafa Ahmedzai was the first blogger whom I got inspired from, and then I met him personally to discuss SEO and blogging,
He helped me a lot in the beginning and I always thanked him for this. After him, Harsh Agarwal is also a good blogger because he has consistency and never gives up.
I’ll mention Imran Uddin here, who’s blogging style I liked once upon a time. Lastly, there are many bloggers who I liked in the past but since I’m no more specific to blogging therefore I’ve almost stopped an engagement with bloggers.
What would you prioritize? Content? SEO? Traffic? Readers?
Content first and then readers, SEO has no death and no life.
What tools do you use to manage your social media presence?
Could you provide me with blogging references?
What is the new secret of 2016 SEO and Blogging?
Well, to be honest, I myself don’t see any special secret for SEO and blogging in 2016. I’d say that content marketing has got a new shape in 2016 which will actually clean up the traditional way forever. This is the year for re-evolution.
If someone was interested in blogging, what would be a few things you would suggest?
Well, if someone is interested in Blogging then I will suggest them to learn about the basics first. Because starting blogging with no proper road-map can create a lot of problems.
Such problems can not be fixed easily. However, everyone learns from mistakes but if you have fewer mistakes then you’ll overcome it in less time. Secondly, the topic and interest in that topic are two starting pillars in Blogging.
